Jyuichiya opens new factory in Hải Phòng

HẢI PHÒNG — Japan’s Jyuichiya Industries Co Ltd, specialising in welding, opened its first overseas factory yesterday in the DEEP C Industrial Zone in the northern Hải Phòng Port City.

The new factory will produce around  二, 一 六0 tonnes of steel structure parts for large construction sites a year, such as buildings and bridges. It will supply its products to the booming construction business in Japan, while also aiming for the growing market in Việt Nam and nearby ASEAN countries.

Covering an area of  一 四, 六 六0sq.m, the US$ 五 million factory has been built by Daiwa House Việt Nam. The plant will start production next month utilising young engineers in Hải Phòng and the nearby seaport.

Jyuichiya was founded in  一 九 八 一, starting its business as an onsite welding contractor.

A dedicated welding factory was built in  一 九 八 五 at Nagoya City, enabling the company to make steel construction parts while polishing skills of inhouse welders.

In  二0 一 三 the factory began to invite young trainees from Việt Nam. Some  三0 Vietnamese welders who trained in Japan will work in the new factory in Hải Phòng.

The DEEP C Industrial Zone was established in  一 九 九 七 by Belgium investors and the city, under the name Đình Vũ Industrial Zone. After leasing out most of the original land, the zone was expanded to  三, 四00ha and the industrial zone was renamed the DEEP C Industrial Zone in  二0 一 五.

The zone is located in an economic zone where investors enjoy the most favorable tax packages in Việt Nam.
